I give James props for all the great stuff he did. Years ago. He used to really make me laugh.
It's not that way anymore. He's clearly stopped caring and he's only going through the motions at this point. I dont look forward to a new AVGN episode anymore. Not the way I used to.
According to Encyclopedia Dramatica, "he stopped being funny several years ago and seriously needs to beep off". And then they added "that applies to the Nostalgia Critic as well".
He's made the money, and he has a family now. He has more important things to worry about. He should just give it up, because he doesn't have it anymore. He's washed up. It's obvious!
I'm just saying what so many people are thinking but probably would not say out loud. What I said needed to be said. And I'm glad I said it.

Mike's pretty much taken over Cinemassacre's You16d0Tube channel.
I've always said what everyone else has about him here, he's not funny and doesn't bring anything to the videos. Remember when he drew backlash over his infantile, embarrassing "Elmo In Grouchland" and "Minecraft" reviews?
Of course I get that he inspired James to upload the first game reviews online (over ten years ago), but it's annoying how he always acts like AVGN and Cinemassacre would be nothing without him.
You can tell this by how Mike always posts his social media links first in the video descriptions.

Completely agree! The "Let's Plays" are terrible. If they were offering interesting commentary that would be one thing, but they're not.
And Mike just drags the whole production down. He's not funny and he's terrible at the games!
I wish they'd go back to the AVGN style, but I think he's pretty much suffered burn out regarding that character.

His "let's play videos" are just so lazy. I watched a couple and they're just not interesting, at all. I really don't get why anyone watches that crap.
And the Mike Mataei or whatever his name is just isn't funny. I get that they're friends but he does not belong in front of a camera.

He's still funny, AVGN is an over the top character that he plays and he's still got it.
The videos he makes with Mike are him being his regular old boring self. However he's still funny in those. Mike drags everything down, he's not funny and he doesn't even add anything insightful.
