So many aspiring actresses from all over do try and try and try their best to break into the acting business and then to get that one big break. Suffice to say, for British aristocrat-turned-thespian auteur, Clara Paget, all the stars aligned to give her that one big break.
She garned a kick-butt, tough chick role for which she fit perfectly, on a new, hot cable pirate series, BLACK SAILS. Unlike those aspiring actresses who find a role on a tv or cable show, only to see it quietly die after less than one season along with their aspiring stardom, BLACK SAILS is a hit. More, the critics are impressed with the murderous character Ann, played with three-dimensional subtlety by nouveau ingenue, Clara Paget.
She sort of looks like a female version of the legendary English witchhunter, Solomon Kane. But this is no heroic female witchfinder. She's a bad woman and she knows it and she accepts it.
The road ahead lies fully open for Clara Paget's growing celebrity stardom.

The role and character are amazing, it's my opinion she does it injustice, over acts and was hired solely on her looks. The only female leads who can act in this stellar cast are Louise Barnes and Jessica, who plays Max.
You're right about one thing, this role will most likely make her famous.
Joon: "you're out of your tree" Sam: "it's not my tree"
