I haven't read the books before, i actually started reading the first one now bc I was interested in the movie. But for what I read online Tirana (Abbey Lee's character) isnt that important. Does anyone know what changes were made or if she's actually doing a character in the book'?

Her character was a very small role in one of the later books that's being expanded in the film(s).
The film being released next year is intended as more of a loose sequel to the books than a straightforward adaption.
