Last night I was watching the scene where the Earl came to her room to tell her that he knew about Marigold. I was startled at how pretty she was. I think they must have forgotten to put the "plain" filter on.

True, she is much prettier in real life, but I still wouldn't call her "beautiful". She is cute, and as a heterosexual girl, I would say her body is hot, but that's all.

I think the character of Edith is intentionally a bit dorky. Unsure of herself, and Ms. Carmichael plays the part so well that it has the effect of playing down her beauty, which is substantial and considerable. The observation that she is a unique beauty is true, but she's also very charming and cute, which adds to it.

Funny, for me, from the first episode, I thought she was the most attractive of the three sisters. Then again, I've never thought the sisters were the most attractive women on the show.

Yesss, her skin is stunning!! She looks straight out of an old Renaissance painting, I can't help but admire her. The other actresses on the show all seem to have flawless skin, too, but her dewy complexion paired with her fair hair especially stands out.
