Rumors that she "lies to her parents"? She's an adult, what would she need to be sneaking around and lying to her parents about. She's 20. Your first clue should have been "rumors".

You only don't get hired if you piss off the wrong people in the industry OR if you keep on turning down roles that keeps you in "the game" so that your momentum runs out or shortens to a point that a major revitalization is needed. As Ashton Kutcher says "Be nice." That's one of the main things when people sign onto new projects look for who aren't divas and who aren't jerks. If actors know they can work with you (if they have a scene with you) then it's more compelling to say "yes" to the offered role. If you drive away actors and above-the-line people then that's a red flag to the producers; it's easier if you're a diva if you're established, though.

I dunno, mate. Looking at her recent work history, as listed on her IMDB page,2000 she doesn't seem to be slacking off at all, which means that producers are happy to hire her, which means that she does her job, which most likely means that she's not wasted/hungover/late/unprepared when she shows up on set. I mean, it's not like she's Robert Downey, Jr, you know? I doubt she has measurable box office draw.
She's young. People her age in college drink, hell, movies are made glorifying the drinking college life. When she stops getting hired, then it's time to take a closer look at things. Until then, I say let the kid have some fun.
