I've been a fan of Spider-Man since I was 10( I'm 25 now) and he's been my favorite comic book character of all time. I saw ALL of the previous films on opening day, have read every comic the past nine years, etc. Its weird seeing someone younger than I take the role, but I'm glad Marvel chose Tom Holland. He is Spider-Man, in every shape and form. Welcome home, Spidey. Truly one of the standout performances of Civil War.

2 was probably the best..3 was def a mess that led to its demise..not Tobey's fault..he is the beSt Spider-Man..hands down.

I enjoyed his portrayal vastly more than any previous live one. I liked Toby's first time out, but didn't care for 2 never saw 3 or the reboots. Still fondly remember the late 70s early 80s live TV version Tho that may be because I haven't seen it since it ran originally lol.

I became a fan of Spidey with the cartoons when I was younger. Then Tobey came along and I couldn't believe how amazing seeing Spider-Man live could be. Then Andrew took over and showed us another side of the comics, a more light hearted view. I saw Tom in Civil War and looked at my boyfriend and said "This is it. THAT truly is Spider-Man, straight out of the comics."

I'm considerably older than you both. And I too am a life long Spider Man fan. Me personally, I loved Tom Holland in this movie. I like aspects of both previous Spider Men, but so far, this seems to be the definitive version.
