Amen brother. People think that because the prequels have become meme-machines that they're inherently good or something, when in reality it's the opposite. The dialogue is memorable precisely because it's so bad.
Lucas really lucked out with the sequels, as his failure was completely overshadowed by one of an even greater magnitude.
