This actor gives one of the best childhood performances i think i've seen in my lifetime. (i'm 38). Her ability to invoke such intense emotion in me without speaking a word is beyond genius. Give this girl every damn award out there.
Pray for Mojo

Despite what certain people in the movie industry (yeah right) might think, there is a
huge
difference between great acting and crappy acting. A list actors may be overpaid for the work they do, but they certainly do work - often quite hard.
If you want to see another example of her talent watch the short lived 2014 BBC America series
Intruders
where nine year old Millie plays a little girl possessed by the soul of a serial killer. It's one of the few times I've seen a child act convincingly like an adult, speak as one and behave as one, without seeming the least bit fake. While watching you can almost forget she
is
just a kid at times. If she avoids the traps other child stars have fallen into over the years, I foresee a decades long career ahead for her.

She really is good. I don't think I would have continued to watch it if it weren't for her. She has this quiet creepy thing about her and reminds me of a very young
Summer Glau
whose creepy part was in
Firefly (2002)
. Heck, she could have played a young River.

Acting is not a talent. Pretending to feel an emotion that you aren't actually feeling is not that impressive of a feat. <<<
Where talent plays a part, is the actors ability to show emotions and show them convincingly. Talent is the difference between good acting and bad acting. A directors talent is equally important and this should be painfully obvious to someone in the film industry like yourself. I'm impressed with your nerve mostly, but also your lack of knowledge by posting this statement.

Moving eyebrows is a cheap way of acting employed by the untalented. Real acting is quite a hard job, to be able to emote realistically, to transform into a different person. It's also probably the only job that is presented in a way that it seems easy. I guess that's the reason of your comment.

Why? Because she has the extremely rare ability to make herself look sadthen angry?
That's all she did throughout the show; look sadthen look angry and scream.
Acting is not a talent. Pretending to feel an emotion that you aren't actually feeling is not that impressive of a feat. Actors are essentially talking props. I've done it several times and all you literally have to do is move your eyebrows. I'm so sick of people putting actors like this on a pedistule.
You three easily impressed dumbasses are the exact reason I got into the film
industry. I know realize people are
impressed with almost anything.

Totally agree. Best child actor I've ever seen. To be able to convey diverse, complex emotions at that age is impressive. To be able to do it with just your expressions and almost no dialog is all-time.

I couldn't agree more.
If miscast, Eleven could have come off as one dimensional, but thanks to Millie's performance she is an iconic character!
If she doesn't win an Emmy the academy just isn't paying attention!
