Verily I say unto theethe news today that we have lost a titan of our times with the death of Canadian poet and singer Leonard Cohen is sad indeed and I take the opportunity here to suggest that we reflect upon his passing in a year that we have lost so many great performers from various areas of of the entertainment firmament. Someone suggested to me earlier that Cohen would have been a great choice to compose and sing a title track for a Bond film in the Craig era as his style would suit the glum and sombre tone that is now associated with the franchise. Whilst I partly agree I do think that there is a large vein of humour in Cohen's work that only the truly intelligent can recognise therefore ruling out anyone who thinks or pretends to think that QUANTUM OF SOLACE in any way even resembles a good or even average movie.
We must thank Leonard Cohen for the immensely pleasing catalogue of work that he has left us and if there are any contributors here whose hearts and souls were not touched by him in the course of their lives then I can only quote the great man and say one thing"but you don't really care for music, do you?"

I'm afraid my revulsion for QoS can never be assuaged , it destroyed my love for a movie franchise that until that only dreadful viewing in 2008 I could find little or no fault with.
Blahblahblahthe same repetitive broken-record bull$hit you've been repeating ad nauseam since 2008. And now you're doing it in the guise of a eulogy for one of the greatest poet-singer-songwriters ever, who has absolutely zilch to do with that movie, for good or bad. Shame on you. At least keep those things separate, if you insist on indulging in what is apparently your favourite variety of masturbation.

Verily I say unto theeI'm afraid my revulsion for QoS can never be assuaged , it destroyed my love for a movie franchise that until that only dreadful viewing in 2008 I could find little or no fault with. Yes we had duds like TMWTGG, FYEO and TWINE but then there were bad "The Man from U.N.C.l.E." episodes too but nothing as mind numbingly abysmal as QoS. However my appreciation for the work of Leonard Cohen will never be diminished by the ineptitude of another be they Swiss or of any nationality.

While I think you misuse your (fake?) eulogy on Cohen's death in a (even for you) particular distasteful and despicable way for the purpose of spewing your usual repetitive nonsense about QUANTUM OF SOLACE, which in itself lends little credence to your invocation of "the truly intelligent", I'll be glad to subscribe to most of what you said about the artist himself. It's a tragedy that he's gone, and the one among the numerous great artists that died in 2016 so far that I will miss the most. I'm not diminishing the likes of Bowie and Prince, but I never really connected to those, while "Suzanne", "So Long Marianne", "Famous Blue Raincoat" etc. etc. have been close to my heart for well over forty years.
