Where to go after IMDB shuts down? Top two movie forums:
Since the corporate tools are giving us the boot here I recommend two movie forums. Great forums but they lack a swift pace. If people here made the jump to these forum, they would be great. Both well respected forum that have been around for more than a decade with GOOD software.
First: I recommend the Steve Hoffman Forum Movie forum. Been around forever. Very knowledgable people. Good brisk pace. MANY members.
http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/forums/visual-arts.36/
Second: I recommend the Criterion Collections forum. What can you say? One of the most respected names in cinema appreciation.
http://www.criterionforum.org/forum/
Hope this helps!

http://www.icmforum.com/
is pretty good, especially if you're interested in movie polls, challenges, lists, and various movie-watching games. Most of the regulars are knowledgeable and have watched a lot of movies.
The Mubi forum was good too, but it doesn't exist anymore.
If anyone wants to contact me after the IMDb forum closes, you can contact me at either

Thanks for the tip but nothing is quite as good as IMDB with every feature with it's own messageboard to discuss smaller details about a film etc
That is why I created this petition, 800 signatures in 5 hours So please sign and try to keep IMDB alive
I don't have a twitter but I will create one just to send Col Needham the petition when we are in our thousands which I no doubt believe we will be:

It would be a good idea for site specifically designed for commentary on the content of particular URIs be created.
