-ONE TREE HILL: Halfway through season 1,
the half-brothers were no longer rivals.
-COUGAR TOWN: Halfway through season 1,
the protagonist was no longer interested in having casual dates with younger men.
-'TIL DEATH: After season 2,
the 20-something couple left, so the show was now all about the 40-something couple (and a
black
sidekick).

Alias
the show originally focused on Sydney's attempts to bring down the organization she worked for, which happened midway through season 1.
It's About Time
which started with two astronauts trying to survive in the stone age. When that approach didn't work, they changed it to bring the astronauts back to their own time, bringing some cavemen with them for a different fish out-of-water tale.
I was going to write a new Sig today, but everything changed when the fire nation attacked.
