A lot of those accusations in Hollywood are believable, and I know what it's like to have no evidence for abuse, and not being able to do anything about it because it happened to me, but I am conflicted because I do believe in being innocent until proven guilty. Most people don't lie about being abused. More people just keep it to themselves… but there are some people who lie for some reason or another.

I have really bad gaydar when it comes to women. I was attracted to Darlene as a kid in the 90s, and never did I ever think for once she seemed gay. Then when I saw Juno I thought Ellen Page was really hot, totally my type, so cute, and then years later when she came out, everyone's like "it was so obvious." But I didn't see it at all. I just saw her as a cute, fun person. I tend to go for the cute tomboyish lesbians.

In this new one, David is not allowed in the house by Dan due to him running off before. So she has to sneak him in. He gets out of bed and she says be careful or my dad will see you here. He makes a comment that he's a grown man and not scared. She makes a joke that "it's cute when you act intimidating, but you really have to get out of here…"
And then he gets offended, and they fight, and she says, "I'm sorry, let's not do this."
Old Darlene would have let him have it. She would've egged on. But this Darlene apologized. It showed her transformation into a mature person who would make sacrifices for her true love. It was so cute. She has gotten calmer. You could see how raising kids and adulthood have changed her. She has changed but in a good way.

I also think Gilbert can out-act nearly everyone on that show. She tears up in the emotional scenes, and you can tell she's bringing her real life pain to her character. I can cry on cue too.
But John Goodman does angry well. One of the best performances by Roseanne and John Goodman:
