I've been watching lots of Classic Doctor Who for the last few months and every episode throughout the 26 years from 1963 to 1989 ends in cliffhanger. So maybe not just 2010s.
But at some point when there'll be no more "regular TV", just streaming services, someone will think back to cliffhangers that weren't season/series finales and laugh nostalgically.

Episode dated 14 June 1959 (1959)
6/10. Not terrible by any means, but without Dorothy Kilgallen the show loses something. The panel is unusually clueless, failing to identify the occupations of the two contestants, and struggling during the mystery guest segment. Even the discussion with mystery guest Anthony Perkins very quickly goes nowhere.
On the plus side, guest panelist Zsa Zsa Gabor is kinda cute, but on the minus side, she has no idea how to play the game.
Season 5 has been horrible so far, the whole Camelot storyline seems ridiculous,
Underworld story arc
just got stupider with this episode, even
are at the mercy of the so-called "heroes". I liked OUAT's take on fairy tale characters and uniting them under one roof; it included making villains out of heroes and heroes out of villainsbut it got worse with
King Arthur
, the man turned evil, straight up for no reason at all. I think Horowitz and Kitsis need to give it a rest and stop beating a dead horse, its cruel what they've done to a wonderful show.

I watched the Doctor Who story Happiness Patrol last night, from 1988.
I really loved the story a lot. I've been watching a lot of Classic Doctor Who in the last few months (it's a gift that keeps on giving) especially this month because I was on sick leave for 2 weeks and then were the Easter hols, so I've had lots of time to kil. I thought the (very high) level of the show dropped quite a bit after season 15/16 (1977/1978 or so) but finally after Sylvester McCoy became the Doctor and Ace the companion I feel like it is starting to be totally amazing again. Don't get me wrong there were flashes of brilliance in those years in-between but this 3-story awesome streak is comforting.
It's not a particularly highly rated story on IMDb but I found the premise pretty wicked. A society where everyone is forced to be happy all the time, or be labeled a "Killjoy" and executed in the name of population control. Unhappy people are hunted down by the titular "Happiness patrol", they even paint the TARDIS pink lol. Ace wants to make them "really unhappy" and there's this very cool blues singer from Earth who has made his way to this planet. The Seventh Doctor keeps developing into a terrific incarnation of the character.
8.5/10
'Dead' is just Time Lord for 'man flu'.

This was a game show where a panel of celebrities tried to determine, through "yes and no" questions, the occupation of the contestant. Each time the contestant gives a "no" answer, they win $5, and if they give ten "no" answers they get $50 and win the game. Later, the panel is blindfolded, and the panel tries to guess who the mystery guest is (usually a film or TV star, sometimes a singer or musician, occasionally a sports figure, and very rarely a politician)
Interesting aspects about this episode:

The mystery guest, Eva Marie Saint, is still alive and is still reasonably famous

The main sponsor is Kellogg's and there is a brief ad for them at the start, remarkably most of the cereals shown are still around

The late Tony Randall does not participate in the mystery guest round as he recognised the voice of the mystery guest since they were friends, and as such he disqualifies himself
Definitely a 10/10!
This will be one of my all time favorites episodes of Suits, full of twists and turns, everybody was in a state of fear and had a lot to loose. They were simply phenomenal and brilliantly timed. I was hooked to my seats for the 42 minutes straight. Performances by the actors, grade A!
It was shocking to see Sarah Rafferty as Donna Paulsen getting rattled and seeing her coming first on the stand was again quite unexpected.
