There is no reason to compare these two actors. Two totally different styles with different approaches to comedy. Cant they coexist in my heart? because I wont choose even though it's obviously Cleese.

Cleese V Atkinson would be over in a second.
Atkinson's range of faces and mimes, enhanced by his slightly George Osborne face, is unbeatable. Cleese is just good at looking shocked (although I liked him in The Jungle Book).
