Overall an enjoyable film. I was a little skeptical when I realized Taron Edgerton would be singing covers of Elton John's hits rather than the star himself. Because of this, I feel it took the entire length of the film before Edgerton truly transforms into Elton John. But once he reaches that point, the entire journey is fully worthwhile.

I was not familiar with John’s story beforehand so I never realized how important Bernie was in John’s success both professionally and personally, particularly during his recovery from addiction. It’s a wonderful story and an amazing friendship to have lasted so long without major conflict.
