<p dir="auto">I love this movie.  Taste is subjective and there are a lot of thematically heavy directors out there.  Ingmar Bergman comes to mind.<br />
But for my sensibilities, Rainier Werner Fassbinder is my favorite.  And this 1978 film about a pathetic transsexual is his most profoundly moving film.  Of the ones that I have seen, of course.<br />
Anybody else seen this movie?<br />
