<p dir="auto">Twister (1996)!  It's got it all:  Comedy, tragedy, the spectacle of incredible visuals!  Plus, while most disaster movies are claustrophobically contained in one small location, Twister is spread out over several counties!<br />
ID4 (1997) is quite good too!  Epic confrontation between humans and hostile E.T.s!  The White House explosion is an iconic image!<br />
Titanic (1999):  Epic reenactment of the doomed ocean liner.  James Cameron's Oscar for Best Director was well-deserved.</p>
