It's a film about the women of MovieChat no?

Filipino women are very aggressive. In fact, they dominate the society. Alcoholism is rampant among the men. If Western men go to The Philippines to find a passive subservient wife, they're in for a big surprise.

Sometimes they get a nasty surprise. A guy I knew answered an ad in a newspaper, placed by a girl in the Philipines. She was looking for a husband. He paid all her expenses and she arrived in NZ, along with her 3 sisters, who were also looking for husbands. He got saddled with the whole family.
Unfortunately she was a nasty piece of work and made his life a misery. I lost touch with them after a while, but I heard she had a baby, and left him for somebody else.

I think most males in Western culture realize they're not gonna get a doormat for a wife. But that's also why many white men mail order brides from Asia.

I agree. I get the impression a lot of men want exactly this. They want the end-product, but none of what goes along with it, like you know, feelings, conversations, cycles…headaches.
