I think there's an interview out there with someone involved that implied the elf taxed the F/X artist's abilities greatly. Like, he'd done prosthetic makeup or something and that's it. Too bad. In any case, it's a hilarious monster.

Do you think it was made for the movie? Because it sort of looked like something that was just picked up at a sh-tty halloween shop. It's a puppet that can't be maneuvered. It has one facial expression and that's to just have its stupid mouth and eyes wide open. It's completely absurd.
Ha the cat part was hilarious, and the scene where they reveal the incest angle seemed like a reference to Chinatown, which is just all sorts of absurd.

I also left out the part about the cat drowning in the toilet and that the elf looks like it cost $5.99 to make.

You forgot to mention that there was also incest and that the out of work mall Santa was motherf-cking Grizzly Adams himself.
It's genuinely awful but in the best way. Good fun.
