With the exception of Baron Blood I have seen them all now today ending with his last movie Schock (1977).
I must say I really like his 60s movies, the 70s movies are all visually nice but to me look like style over substance.
So in order of enjoyment I would say:
Black Sunday (1960) by a fair bit
Kill Baby Kill (1966)
I Vampiri (1957)
Black Sabbath (1963)
Blood and Black Lace (1964)
Bay of Blood (1970)
The Evil Eye (1963)
Which you consider his best movies?

I love Bava. His lighting was amazing. I think his B & W films are great but his odd color palette in Blood and Black Lace was amazing.
My favs are
Blood and Black lace
Black Sabbath (off the charts lighting)
Kill Baby Kill
The Girl Who Knew too Much
Black Sunday
Bay of Blood
Shock

"Black Sunday" and "Kill, Baby Kill" would easily be in my top 3 too. Rounding it off would be "Planet of the Vampires".
"Hatchet For the Honeymoon" and "Lisa and the Devil" are worth a look too.

Lisa and the Devil has always frustrated me - I think it begins really well but just gets too silly. Still there are great Bava touches throughout. It's high reputation has always baffled me somewhat. I have yet to see the alternative version. Or watch Lisa with commentary - maybe I'll do both in 2017.

You're now the third (or so) Bava fan I've seen rank Lisa and the Devil on the lower endI always thought it was more highly regarded. On my first watch of it a couple years ago, I thought it was rather dull myself but on a rewatch with commentary, it grew on me a bit. I'd place it somewhere in the high middle of the Bava films I've seen.
They bought their tickets, they knew what they were getting into. I say, let 'em crash.

I hear you but I've always found a wide variety of women to be appealing. The one common thread in women I've been with has been intelligence and independence. That usually appeals to me as much as looks do when it comes to actresses and characters as well. Variety is the spice of life.

Yeah I know about Xena but it's pretty much same as Hercules but with a female hero. There are even episodes they are together and well yeah have sex, destroying all those fantasies lesbians and I bet straight men have about Xena and Gabrielle as a couple. I should have been clearer I'm not really interested in action heroes (any more). While I thought kick-ass babes were extremely sexy when I was a young man I rather want them to be clever now. Besides some make semi-guys out of them. Trinity from the Matrix for example ew looked like a super dyke (I find lesbians hot but those uber butches no way). Didn't find Kate Beckinsale appealing either in Underworld. I like female heroes but I also like them to remain girls, rather caring than tough and rather feminine than tomboys. I guess I'm old-fasioned that way

You might enjoy Alan Moore's Promethea comic series. It's been collected into several volumes in the US.
Did you see the Xena Warrior Princess show? - often dumb, but always fun.

I have seen Hercules, ouch that one is pretty bottom barrel IMO. Nice visuals when they are visiting the underworld but what a dumb story and cardboard characters. But I was never a fan of muscle man stories. I wish there were more movies about goddesses but movies on mythology tend to focus on the men but yeah maybe because the stories in mythology do actually focus on men as well.

I didn't intend my order of films within the tiers to be in order of preference - although I do have a slight preference for Black Sabbath over Sunday. The Drop of Water is something I saw as a child and is one of the scariest memories I have of watching a movie.
I haven't seen Lamberto Bava's The Ogre - adding it to my list now.
Even when Bava's stories are weak his visual style pulls me into his dreamworld. I am not as big a fan of his comedies and other genre films although most of them are enjoyable.

Bar "Hercules in the Haunted World" (I must have missed that one when seeking Bava's movies together) there isn't any other movie in red color that I haven't seen. I just listed the ones I enjoyed best.
These I think are a visual treat but the story was really dull:
Shock
The Whip and the Body
Planet of the Vampires
So they would round up a top 10 for me. But I would happily replace Planet of the Vampires with Lamberto Bava's The Ogre. Slow, not specacular but I really loved the background story of the ogre and the nighmarish scenes. Lamberto shows that he can create just like his dad a dark (fantasy gothic) atmosphere with an interesting back story. That's the problem with the above 3, I didn't give a damn about the story or characters.
These I thought were just hard to finish ultra slow and boring:
Hatchet For the Honeymoon
Lisa and the Devil
5 Dolls For an August Moon
5 Dolls was the only movie I thought was complete rubbish. It felt more like Bava experimenting a bit making a slasher. Bay of Blood is a much better effort in that way even though far from my favorite.
I will check on Hercules thx
Surprised you put Black Sabbath ahead of Black Sunday. I must admit though Black Sabbath is awesome only for the Drop of Water segment, best short horror I have seen!

Here's the reply I thought I was posting to you earlier:
I like Bava a lot - probably my favorite horror director. I'm not sure I can rate all his films individually but I would place them in three tiers. the ones in red are ones I didn't see on your list (so you may have more still to see than you think):
Top Tier:
Black Sabbath
Black Sunday
A Bay of Blood
Blood and Black Lace
Kill Baby Kill
2nd Tier:
The Whip and the Body
I Vampiri
Planet of the Vampires
Hercules in the Haunted World
Hatchet For the Honeymoon
The Evil Eye
Shock
3rd Tier:
Lisa and the Devil
Baron Blood
5 Dolls For an August Moon
Even the third tier films are better than the average horror film.
