Dont you hate it when you can remember bits and pieces of a film, but not the name of the film itself? Well it's happening to me (again!). The horror (actually I would consider it a mystery/thriller) movie I'm thinking about is a color, foreign film. The only part I can remember is two men torturing another guy in the cellar of a secluded house. The home owner had a sort of torture kit (hammers, screwdrivers, drills, ect.) I remember the 'hero' walking up to the house in the woods, while the kidnapped/torture victim is being held inside. If I remember correctly the man who was doing the torture was an older man who wasn't a blatant psychopath. He even might have been some kind of gangster. I just can't remember! It's not much info to go on, but that's all I got! Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I do remember it being a solid flick, and would like to revisit it. Thanks again.

CG gore is the worst thing that has ever happened to the horror genre.
