Gothic (1986)
It's a Ken Russell's bizarre, surreal, nightmarish film based on a true meeting of writers in Lord Byron's property, that supposedly inspired John Polidori to write The Vampyre and Mary Shelley to write Frankenstein. I liked it a lot. 7/10 from me.

I have seen it twice, I own a copy from the original DVD and it has good quality on it. Very intense, surreal, dark, erotic, bizarre. I liked all of the performances and I give it overall a 7/10. One of those rare obscure gems to be discovered and appreciated.
Loneliness has followed me my whole life, everywhere. In bars, in cars, sidewalks, stores, everywhere

I liked it too. Julian Sands as Percy Shelley amirite. My favorite line is when he yells
BUT GOD IS ALREADY DEAD!

The VHS cover always weirded me out.
In high school I finally rented it and watched it with a friend.
Kind of nice atmosphere, but I haven't watched it in the ten+ years since.

Fantastic film. Been a long time fan. Own the Thomas Dolby soundtrack on LP.
I collect dead pigeons then I press them between the pages of a book.

btwhow does it end?
With a big orgy in the cellar, involving people of different colors, sexual orientations, cultures and religions, and even some hideous creatures that live in the mansion, while they all sing together a satanic chant that invokes Yog-Sothoth from the darkness.
Actually it ends with the girl having the concept to Frankenstein.
