In the mid 90's I saw a movie, it was set before colonial influence. So kind of like a 5 Deadly Venoms era.
What I remember was a guy who had like plated armor/shirt that he took off and spun around and threw as an edged weapon. I think it even came back to him like a boomerang.
I don't know if it was in the same movie but there might have been bamboo trees cut at angles in the ground so that some people got implanted on them.
