I know, right? Yowza!
There was a time when learning to read and write was sought after, a considerable priority, and something to take pride in as part of our earliest education.
Today, they've even stopped teaching kids how to write (I'm guessing maybe they maintain writing their signature and even then, because the only place it's used is signing digital screens, they learn a little squiggle is all it takes). But hey, now there's a font to duplicate the appearance of cursive writing.
I still enjoy writing in italics and cursive. Having very nice Penmanship just feels right. If I'm forced to write at an angled digital screen, or those little boxes at the doctors' offices where there's no tactile reciprocating sensation, I feel cheated.
If a giant EMP wipes everything out, will we go back to drawing pictures on cave walls?
