Did you know Olivia Newton John appeared in a musical years before GREASE ? Yes, in this film which is about a pop band which is taken by an alien back to his civilisation in deep space. I liked the science fiction aspects better than the songs - they were too wishy washy and insipid.

this one flopped
It's hard to believe that
Val Guest
was responsible when you consider that he directed 3 classic sf films viz
The Quatermass Xperiment (1955)
,
Quatermass 2 (1957)
and
The Day the Earth Caught Fire (1961)
.
