Hello everyone. To those who have seen the 1971 movie Summer Affair, can anyone explain the ending? I saw it but the ending just left a bunch of holes at the end.

Did the two reunite?

Did Robert manage to escape the cops?

Did the couple end up together or what ?
If anyone can offer any possible answers please respond. If you havent seen the movie, you can find it on youtube.

Well, I HAVE seen it, but the answer is who knows? The English version movie got re-edited years later, which is why it has disco-era prologue. So it's quite non-sensical at the end. You'd have to watch the original Italian version.
