Criminal Minds did an episode called Sense Memory where the murderer was a taxi driver who would choose his victims based on what they smelled like. He was trying to recreate a scent from his past. There is science behind the fact that sense is our strongest tie to memory.
Each woman was found with a square patch of skin removed from the bottom of her foot, where the sweat glands are high, and he would put this skin sample through several chemical baths. He disposed of the bodies of the women whose scent he couldn't replicate, and of the others, he would put their entire bodies in a specialized chemical bath and rendering process by which he would make perfume and candles from their dissolved bodies.
The ole switcheroo, huh bitch??
He starts a topic about something that he wants to discuss and you change the subject to something else that you watched.

Have you seen the movie, or have you ever watched Criminal Minds? You might be able to find just that episode available on YT.
Watching a lot of true crime, it's surprising how many real incidents seemed to inspire that series.
