This ultimately disappointing film is about a young girl who comes of age just as her father dies in a mysterious car crash. With his death comes the arrival of his brother, an uncle never spoken of before. While the film is visually interesting it ultimately relies more on style than substance. Nicole Kidman is competent enough in her role but she can't save the film from sinking in its own artistry. Worth a watch mostly for its moody visuals because its slim on plot. Streaming on HBOMax.
Hey Diddler, Diddler….the cat and the fiddler LOL
