This is an honest question. I am not an Indian, but I have always enjoyed Bollywood movies, especially the ones from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
I am curious as to why Indians are so overly obsessed with Ranveer Singh?

  • Every other commercial features him
  • A lot of the reality/talk shows have invited him
  • In every award show, he is sitting (jumping) in the front row and the camera is on him more than on the actual show
    Is loving Ranveer Singh an Indian thing? Because I honestly don't see his appeal.

One of my friends says most Indian men are secretly jealous of him. He's got a reputation as a pussy houndnow I don't know how much of it is media creation and he's just hamming it up or what. I personally think he is over the top and a sure sign that you'd need a minimum of three quarter of Old Monk(Rum) to get over his shenanigans.

He is very energetic and a filmy freak. He is pretty much down to earth person and really funny in his interviews but he was good in serious role of bajirao mastani. He has a good physique, he dances well and acts good too. He has all the ingredients to be a bollywood actor and this is the reason for the love he gets from people.

Right now, he is one of the finest young actors capable of being a believable leading man. And he has lot of enthusiasm and energy too. What's not to like?

Loving any Indian actor has mostly been an Indian thing, with few exceptions here and there.
