This is the problem with these "wannabe's" here in India. They try to act western but don't go the whole way. Halloween 2010 in Ottawa we had a big party and there was this Indian chick who my friend got along(and I invited him being the idiot I was) and soon enough the other girls there took their tops off(Naked twister) and she refused and not just refused but walked away in disgust, much to the dismay of my class buddies. Because the entire hour before that she actually sat down and talked us on how Indian woman now are "liberated" and how she slept with 3 guys in the last month(just to prove a point even when nobody asked).
Same with cinemawhy not show an aesthetically pleasing nude shot instead of a skimpy cleavage bearing gyrating on a pole around horny men(which seems to be what every item number is). Back in the day things were better I assume.
I haven't seen Befikre and will not but it seems like these ideal yuppie movies where they try too hard to sell themselves as "modern" or cool. They don't seem to understand the underlying meaning of anything.

I have never seen a film more tasteless as this film by Aditya Chopra, he seems to have lost his touch completely. What was he trying to prove with this film is beyond me.

Compare this to the likes of Zindago Na Milegi or even Dil Chahta Hai, which really showcases the yuppie modern, well rich, Indian. The talk the mannerisms and even the sexuality is so naturell. This Befikre is unreal man or maybe its the generation gap.
I will talk to my nieces and nephews about how they relate to this movie.
