wow very surprised by the answers here. Thought people would be quite well read especially Vikade and Pimp having not read and man and pitviper not even replied. Their works seems pretty light, accessible and simple. Anyways.

i havent read anything by bond. i read a bit of SWAMI AND FRIENDS by narayanan but never finished it.

Have only read a couple of short stories from them that too long back. So can't really judge.

I am expecting a lot of people out here to answer this one especially pitviper, vikade, pimp and man.

I am sure that no one will have a preference when it comes to these two writers. Both of them are equally great, but have very different writing styles.
Bond's writing is mostly autobiographical and anecdotal. He appeals to the child within us and invoked nostalgia. He is generally not interested in the moral questions related to a story, whereas morality is the crux of most of Narayan' stories.
