It's a very good and beautiful score, I don't know another Williams score this good in recent memory, miles ahead from his 2011 double disappointment. I notice some influence from his own score for
JFK,
but that's one of my favourite scores by him so it's a joy to notice the similarities. Williams proves once again he's the only person who should be allowed to score movies about American presidents.
"The Petersen House and Finale" is my favourite track.
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.

I like the score too.
Volker Flenske: (While torturing David) I don't know why you're doing this to yourself!

It might be my favourite Williams score since Minority Report. I was expecting a Private Ryan level of simplicity and subtlety (and I didn't much care for that bad boy), but I really found it quite beautiful and lovely to listen to. Nothing groundbreaking, but from a non-Williams fan, it'a one of my favies of the year.

After posting this, I listened again, and actually now I find some similarities with
Saving Private Ryan.
Nothing against it, still loving the score.
Yes, I also think it has a good chance at an Oscar nomination (not sure about the win, though).
