I prefer Peter, Danny, even a few Bob Welch songs. I like "Rumours" but only a few songs after.

They used to be a Blues band. Peter Green left the group following heavy drug use and a history of psychosis. He left the band having wasted away all his earnings. Mick Fleetwood and John McVie were the original members.
The first thing John would do is ask his then-wife to join on keyboards, Christine McVie. I hear she ended up being pretty good.

Sounds like a completely different band, and I like it better. The flower child ruined it.

Gilmour was brought in as a second guitarist, so if Syd wanted to stand there and stare, at least someone would fill it up. They even thought of The Beach Boys' Brian Wilson situation, where Syd could work in the studio, and one night to a show, one member said "Shall we pick up Syd?" and someone else said "Why bother?" - but it has never been revealed who said what.

My mistake about Roger Waters. I thought he and Gilmour came together.
Lol Doug Gilmour was a famous hockey player. Woops

Doug
Gilmour?
Btw, Roger Waters was a founding member. Syd was only there for the first album, and I don't think it even comes close to the Roger-led Pink Floyd of the 70s.

The original Pink Floyd is like this too. Pre-Doug Gilmer and Roger Waters.

Yea…he was who was replaced by Lindsey.
Mick heard Lindsey's guitar solo in the Buckingham Nicks song,
Frozen Love
, and knew he wanted him for their band, but Lindsey wasn't interested unless Stevie was allowed to join as well. He told Mick he and Stevie were a package deal.
This had the rest of the band scratching their heads…not knowing who the girl was, and she ended up making them more successful than they had ever been.
Stevie's
Dreams
is the only Fleetwood Mac song to reach # 1 on the charts, and she was the most successful solo artist of the band when each tried their own thing.
Stevie performed with Bob Welch a few times -
