Tommy James & the Shondells - "I Think We're Alone Now"
(it's probably clear given this and the 1968?-1969? thread that I don't care for Tommy James & the Shondells)

The Victor Lundberg record rang a very distant bell, but the final line came to me. Truly bad. Reminds me of the ode to Lt Calley that came out a little later.
I mentioned "Reach Out of the Darkness" in a thread on unintentionally funny records.
The condescension in the Peter, Paul and Mary record went over the heads of most people, and it became a big hit.

Vikki Carr - "It Must Be Him"
I used to hate that song but it's really grown on me. Big fan now!
A few stinkers:
Lulu - The Boat that I Row
Des O'Connor - Careless Hands
Cliff Richard - The Day I met Marie
