Don't care for:
Don McLean - "American Pie"
New Seekers - "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing"
Wayne Newton - "Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast"
Other than that, I sure don't remember that Rick Springfield had a tune on the charts this year. I don't recognize that song at all.
Also, I'm surprised that some of the songs are as low on the top 100 for the year as they are, including Rundgren's "I Saw the Light", Yes' "Roundabout" and Jackson Browne's "Doctor My Eyes". I suppose it's just surprising because those were played so much in subsequent years on the more "album-oriented" stations I listened to growing up.

Some of those songs are ok but the #1 is so bad, I remember it from 1972 (I was 10) so if I happen to hear it, it sticks in my head relentlessly for the rest of the day. One of the worst ear worm songs ever.
