Elton John's Candle In The Wind (BOTH versions).
This was back when we had a retail music store back in 1997.
The funeral for Princess Diana aired on TV on a Saturday morning. This was when the new version of the song first played.
We had a request for the new version THAT DAY.
IIRC, Elton wentpretty much from the funeral to the recording studio to record the new version.
There was a LOT of demand for the song. In fact, my mother told me (because I had left for university at the time) that she had to call the supplier THREE TIMES in a day, wanting to increase the order of the CD singles and the cassette singles for the song.
I still have my copy.somewhere.
