If you've enjoyed ANY Harold Lloyd or Buster Keaton film, you will definitely enjoy this one. I was pleasantly surprised at how touching and funny this was! A dramatic comedy indeed, very well done and superbly entertaining.

The Great Dictator aside, I think its actually better, and funnier, than any Chaplin film Ive seen.

Grandma's Boy
had me laughing out loud on several occasions. As of now, only 448 IMDb users have rated the movie, so I fear this one has been largely overlooked. It's one of the funniest silent movies I've ever seen.

Glad you liked it! I'm still surprised how relatively unknown his movies are , even to people who are big fans of Chaplin. I never get bored of watching any Lloyd or Keaton films

I just watched it today, making it the first Harold Lloyd film I've seen, a viewing that was long overdue. I was actually surprised at how consistenly entertaining it was, and how many scenes flew by almost unnoticeably that were so incredibly influential to future comedy directors, which I noticed here more than in any Chaplin film. Lloyd seems to lack the poetry of Chaplin and the poise & precision of Keaton, but he brings a sort of journeyman's sensitivity and craftsmanship to his work that is refreshing.
The theater's too deep for me. I prefer bicycling.
