that they got him really drunk is very funny if a little naughty.and while I think the sequence is a little long .the bubbles are lovely and pretty spectacular from a technical perspective for 1926!
and where did they get the booze in Prohibition Hollywood..mmmm

Agreed with both the OP and you. The special effects were cute, but the gimmick also did go on for too long.
