Everyone goes for Dracula and The Bride of Frankenstein (Which are great) but I really find this movie has aged the best.

Difficult for me to choose between the big four (Frankenstein, Bride of, Dracula and Invisible Man) but this one is special.

Gorgeous to look at (pun intended), extremely well told, and the special effects truly impressive for the time period. Saw this about ten years ago, really want to see it again, and the sequels too, which I've never seen (pun intended again).
There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?

i first saw this 13 years ago when universal first released the classic monster dvd box, and it was one of my favorites, and watching it now, i'm well aware of the leading actor after seeing him in, well for example like the most famous movie in history casablanca, and loads of other classic movies, and i wonder if the invisible man wouldn't be scarier if it didn't have a well known actor behind the bandage. the opening sequence in this is so memorable i think, and even though the movie is from the 30's, i still find it quite creepy and scary, and it also at times has a comedic tone about it, i think it holds up so well and has high standard on so many different levels, i wonder why the invisible man box with its sequels weren't released outside usa. some monsters were, some weren't. but honestly as this movie goes along, you get quite fed up with the invisible man and his brat like personality, and really want him to get caught.

In 100% agreement here. Absolutely one of my all time favourites! Love Rains who steals every scene he is in, well you know what I mean, and the effects are still stunning. Stands up to anything that's come since. I adore Universal but TIM will always be my top choice!

Agreed. This is my #1 of the Universal Classics.
And it's 110% because of Rains.

It's my favorite of all of the Universal Monster Films as well. No other film is more well written. Plus the special effects are just top notch. I love it. It still holds up so well today.
