<p dir="auto">I have not seen this movie for many years, in fact it was sometime in the 1960's that I last saw it and there is still one scene that sticks out in my mind after all these years.<br />
It's where you see a older lady trying to move quickly down the street. She's yelling "Help!" " I am being chased by a pair of pants!" A second later you see a pair of pants come skipping down the street and the invisible man is singing "Here we go gathering nuts in May, nuts in May, nuts in May." At the time I thought it was funny.<br />
I hope I got the details right. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong because my memory sometimes is not as good as it should be.</p>

<p dir="auto">That WAS meant to be funny! James Whale loved to inject humor into his movies.<br />
There is a story about James Whale sitting in a movie theater, watching either this movie, Frankenstien, or Bride of Frankenstein, and a woman was grumbling to a friiend as about the 'bad' picture. Whale, without identifying himself said to her. "If you don't like this movie, you can damn well leave!"<br />
As for me, it's Una O'Connor, her screams are wonderful.</p>
