Stole the film. Who can forget his exhortions to the girl to "Play FASTER!"? And the HUGE dark circles under his eyes after he became an "addict"? The excessively furtive way he trys to be discreet and sneaky when he inhales the joint, followed by sidelong glances at imaginary viewers. For me, the highlight of the film is when the judge says " Bring in Ralph Wiley." Addressing the court:
"This individual is totally insane due to the use of marajuana!"
We then see Ralph from 5 different camera angles, each expression more ridiculously over-the-top crazy than the last. He is led out, walking like a shrunken monkey, gibbering and jerking. GREAT STUFF! I have never dared to watch this scene while stoned for fear I would actually laugh myself to death!

"I have never dared to watch this scene while stoned for fear I would actually laugh myself to death!" You are missing out. That scene, and this entire movie, are a much better experience stoned. I do agree with you about the Ralph character. He gets me rolling everytime I see him.
