<p dir="auto">I really had to laugh at mid-movie, it seemed like every time something portentous or dire was revealed, it was followed / underscored by a rumble of thunder. I kept waiting for Tracy or Hepburn to eye the camera and roll their eyes "There it goes again !"<br />
Then, Forrest's pleasant-then-dotty mother having a conversation with the thunder, thinking it was her son that was totally over-the-top hilarious. I'm surprised that no one has ever milked that scene for a comedy or spoof.<br />
"J'ai l'oeil AMRICAIN !"</p>
