<p dir="auto">Apparently, before Sir John died of grief, he sent his estate's gamekeeper to medical school in an effort to revive his son, Larry. The gamekeeper graduated with honors and began his medical career under the name of Dr. Mannering at Queen's Hospital in Cardiff. Jenny's mother, Mrs. Williams, got a nursing degree through Sir John as partial recompense for Jenny and was now head nurse at Queen's Hospital. It is remarkable that neither Dr. Mannering or the head nurse never recognized Talbot after all that uproar in Lanwelly a few years back. They were probably frightened to see him alive again and kept quiet about it. Anyway, Mannering, now a doctor, has ditched poor Gwen Coniff and gets a baroness instead.</p>

<p dir="auto">I don't find it confusing. I just keep repeating to myself: "It's an actor playing a different roleit's an actor playing a different role"</p>
