At approximately 37 minutes and 51 seconds into the film, very low in the mix you can clearly hear The Monster/Ygor say "This is it!" in Lugosi's Ygor voice. I am not joking about this or mistaken. You do have to crank the volume, but it's there. It is the scene where Talbot and the Monster are opening the secret cabinet containing the secrets of life and death.
And here it is; Equalized and amplified:

I watched the movie again last night and while i had forgotten about this post i heard the dialouge quite clearly.

Great pick-up! I really hope someday Universal finds the edited footage and restores it to this movie. After reading the script, I think the movie would work a lot better if it had the monster's dialogue restored.

Interesting pick up,next time i watch it i'm going to turn the volume up loud during that scene.I suppose they did not delete it because it is very hard to hear and the monster isn't facing towards the camera so we can't see his lips move.

Your point is what????
This monster differs from the Karloff monster in that it now possesses Ygor's brain.
My point was not that the monster was incapable of speech. My point was that Lugosi's monster had dialogue in 'Frankenstein meets the Wolf Man', and it was supposedly all deleted, but this line was not totally erased.
Your comments have nothing to do with what we are talking about.

Frankenstein could speak. That was established in The Bride of Frankenstein.
