Does Young Charlie remind anyone of Donna Hayward from
Twin Peaks
?
Sensible middle-class girls from the suburbs / had 'less fortunate' classmate (Laura in TP, the waitress in SOD) / two smaller siblings / discover sleaze and small-town naivet / thrust into reality / physical similarities in dress.

Yes, more Donna than Audrey, who though one of my favorite characters was more of a spoiled rich brat than either Donna or Charlie. But most of the echoes of earlier stories in
are blends, not just copies. And there is that unsettling library trip.
Lara Flynn Boyle in that series reminded me somewhere between Teresa Wright and Donna Reed, an actress from another movie that resonates in
Twin Peaks
.

She reminds me more of Audrey, maybe because of her curiosity and passion for detectives.
