Fellow-fans of "The Mask of Dimitrios" should keep their eyes open for "Three Strangers" starring our favourite guys - Lorre & Greenstreet.
Also, I guarantee you'll enjoy Sydney Greenstreet's role as a Columbo-esque detective in "The Velvet Touch".
Have fun!

Agree. 'Mask' and 'Three Strangers' have similar atmospheres, and, to some extent, story lines. And both films have more than a few overtones of 'Maltese Falcon,' and of course 'The Third Man' too. I notice that Adolph Deutsch, who composed the music for 'Falcon,' also wrote the score for 'Mask.'
I haven't seen 'The Velvet Touch,' but it sounds like a fun movie and I hope to see it one of these days.

three strangers is one of my FAV noirs! Excellent minimalist movie! It would make a great Broadway play revival!
Haven't seen Velvet Touch, but I'll watch anything with either SG or PL!
