Another something like this is The Road Home. It's in Chinese and subtitled, directed by Zhang Yimou, and was Zhang Ziyi's breakthrough role. She never looked lovlier, and you never saw more of her than her head, what up with the period clothes she was wearing. (1950's rural China.)<br />
