Dillinger's gf was continually tempted by those Wanted signs with the $15,000 reward!  She tipped off the police to look for the lady in red coming out of "Manhattan Melodrama" - the guy w/ her would be Dillinger, who just prior, had not left his apartment for months!  His first time out was the last time, and when the police emptied his pockets after pumping him full of bullets, all he had was $7.20</p>
