It seems that this character is a combination of Dillinger and Baby Face. He robs banks and plans heists like Dillinger, but he is trigger happy and a cold blooded killer like Baby Face.

Yeah, they definitely made Dillinger worse than he really was. But either way, Lawrence Tierney was great. He was the best Dillinger I've ever seen. But it's a shame Bogie never played Dillinger. He always played guys based on Dillinger. William Powell would've also made a good Dillinger.
