<p dir="auto">What did you think of the scene where Curly gave the baby a barrel of a loaded gun to suck as an alternative to a pacifier? I thought it was totally disturbing and totally out of life and I know that alot of people would be totally shocked to see something like that.</p>

<p dir="auto">I know audience sensibilities were different in 1946, but I can't imagine there were many guffaws over that scene. Maybe Felix Adler was scraping the bottom of his comedic barrel. I also get a queasy feeling seeing the Stooges as pawnbrokers, playing into Jewish stereotypes. The short falls even flatter because of Curly's impaired delivery.<br />
